JL Audio Dual 15W0v3 with RD500/1 500 Watt Subwoofer Kit

This JL Audio 15W0 subwoofer package includes two, 15″ W0v3-4 subwoofers and the JL Audio RD500/1 amplifier. With this setup, each 15W0v3-4 will receive 250 watts of RMS power from the amplifier. The JL Audio RD500/1 is rated at 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms. Sincethere are two subwoofers in this package, it is best to wire them in parallel so that the amplifier will see a 2 ohm load and thus put out the full amount of rated RMS power. The RD500/1 amp will have more actual output versus the JX and it has betterthermal management, meaning you can crank on the system harder with the RD500/1 versus the JX500/1D.Each 15W0v3-4 can handle a maximum of 500 watts of RMS power. JL Audio recommend between 150-500 watts of amplifier power which the RD500/1 is providing. Please see the wiring diagram below for the recommended, paralelle wiring for this package. If you want to fully maximize the subwoofer’s output, you can opt for thethe package with the JX1000/1D or the RD1000/1 in order to provide 500 watts of RMS power to each sub.
