This JL Audio 12W0 subwoofer package includes two, 12″ W0v3-4 subwoofers and a JL Audio monoblock subwoofer amp. With this setup, the amp will put out 250 watts of RMS power to each subwoofer with the standard option the JD500/1. Since the JL Audio W0 is a single 4 ohm voice coil, they should be wired in parallel to a 2 ohm load. The amp will put out its 500 watts of rated power, 250 watts RMS to each woofer. JL recommends 75-300 watts of RMS power for the 12W0 so the amp falls perfectly toward the upper end of that range.

They are overbuilt, they handle the power they say they will, they hit hard, and the sound good. If you are looking for an affordable, work horse woofer, the JL Audio W0 is perfect.

JL Audio Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier

To power the two 12 inch W0 subwoofers, you can choose between several JL Audio subwoofer amps. The standard amplifier is the JD500/1 which puts out 500 watts at 2 ohms. This will deliver 250 watts of power to each subwoofer, making it a great match for the 12W0v3-4 subwoofers.The JD500/1 uses JL’s NexD switching technology and comes with LED clipping indicators for both the input and the output to help you optimize your gain settings for maximum output without a clipped signal or distortion.

If you want to upgrade, you can select the JL Audio RD500/1 or the XD600/1v2. The RD500/1 has the same power output ratings, but it uses better internal components for better signal processing and higher actual output. The XD600/1v2 is going to deliver more power per subwoofer and isthe “go-to” amplifier line among JL pros.

There are no bad choices with the amplifiers. You get what you pay for. If you want to spend the money to upgrade, it’s going to sound better, but the standard JD500/1 will more than deliver what you need.

4 AWG Amp Wiring Kit + Speaker Wire

In addition to the subwoofers and the amp, we also include a 4 AWG amp wiring kit with a 17 foot RCA cable and 15 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire. The wire used in both the amp wiring kit and the speaker wire is 100% oxygen-free copper (OFC) and it is builtto true, American Wire Gauge specs.
