JL Audio 15W0v3 with RD500/1 500 Watt Subwoofer Kit

This JL Audio 15W0 subwoofer package includes a single 15″ W0v3-4 subwoofers and the JL Audio RD500/1 amplifier. With this setup, the amp will put out 250 watts of RMS power to the subwoofer due to the fact that the subwoofer has a single, 4 ohm voice coil. JL recommends 150-500 watts of RMS power for the 15W0 so the amp’s falls perfectly in that range.
The JL Audio W0 woofer has long been the gold standard for the entry-level, affordable woofer class. For the money, these woofers are as good as it gets. They are overbuilt, they handle the power they say they will, they hit hard, and the sound good. If you are lookingfor an affordable, work horse woofer, the JL Audio W0 is perfect.
The RD series of amplifiers offer great output and affordability. The RD amps use many of the same technologies that are used in the XD series, but without some of the signal processing and thermal management that the XD has. Also, the RD is larger than the XD, but it also does have LED clipping indicators which allow you to perfectly set the gain.
The wiring is straightforward. Wire the positive connection on the amp to the postive terminal on the woofer and the same thing for the negative side.
