  3. BMW UK Launches R 1200 GS and Adventure Promotion: The British division of BMW Motorrad…

  4. i have a xc90 customer who sells undeveloped real estate. she had a brush guard fabricated at a local boat shop [all stainless tubing] . skid pans from ipd .and tires with a more aggressive tread pattern. she does ok with it but she does not go places where she knows she shouldn't. overall it has worked out for her
the xc 70 is probably just as capable given similer modifications. [ as much as i personally like volvo's] there are much better 4 wheel drives out there that have good comfort and a t-case with a low range note all german suv/crossovers have been found lacking in capabilities/reliability,[ repair-ability in the field] it matters not which of the following are chosen { bmw x,mercedes ml, vw torn-rag or it's even more ridiculously priced clone] none is anything more than a snow car.that is even further limited by their factory street/snow tires.

  5. “Ride your own ride” is my mantra as a re-entry rider. My BMW R 1200 GS is a handful compared to the Triumph Bonneville of my youth (on the road) or my Yamaha Enduro (on the cow trails.) Can't always stay in the pack on group rides–at least not until the “muscle memory” is established.

And getting some classes under your belt is a must-do. Sounds like your li'l buddy maybe didn't know about counter-steering or target fixation.
