I followed one of these things on the road yesterday. It looks so much better in person and then you realize that the wheels and exhaust pipes are huge.
Too bad my Honda SUV was able to keep up. I wanted to see it fly.
For proper storage of tires for your car, use lithium-based preservative and not the oil that the latter tends to dry more quickly and it breaks in the rubber tires.
Last time the Evo,STI/WRX,Skyline were rivals. But this new GTR just puts the Evo and Subaru look like it will eat dust from the GTR

Man, I have to say I wish I can own this beast, but hey I’m a loyal Nissan owner myself, having owned a 99 Maxima SE, leased 2009 Maxima SV and now a 370z cause I felt bored of the front wheel drive on the max. But anyways, come on fellas, you gotta to move on to bigger and better things, this is called the Nissan GT-R and its official too, just look at Nissan’s website, no longer has the skyline badge involved. Like they say, let the V6 VR38DETT be unleashed into the world of the the supercars.

@NobleM15fan yea the Gtr V spec had lost some weight and it had a few tweeks in its engine such as additional torque in hig gears and new features such as high-flow titanium exhaust, adjustable more-aggressive Bilstein shocks and carbon-ceramic composite Brembo brakes front and rear.

@05front ok, for all the people who dont understand how a rollingroad works, let me explain. It measures the wheel horse power and then by letting the car run down it then converts the mechanical drag to the extra horse power at the flywheel. So Hammond was actually giving the BHP.

That Dyno tests WHP (wheel horse power) which is always going to be anywhere between 10% – 20% less than the crank HP that car companies advertise. So it’s not that your being lied to its just the power the engine produces and that’s it.

they cut something that costs 5000 dollars. something that people that want a Shelby is going to want and is willing to pay for to improve handling. that is some poor business planning I would rather have better handling than horsepower cause whats the point if you cant handle all that horsepower?

@608gamer07 the Roush have harder rear suspensions, which combine with the live axle, does wonders. But the design is obsolete, I hate anything obsolete. It’s like dressing a pretty girl with bad lingerie.

@mack1381 Really now? That’s why the Mustang with it’s live rear axle did fantastic at Continental race day last weekend. The 2008 Roush Mustang actually was leading the race for a good 15 minutes after passing a BMW M3.
@fatcamper Probably because a pulley and tune on this car nets nearly 200 horsepower at the flywheel. I know a guy who’s got one. He’s got 600 horsepower… to the tires and I guarentee he didn’t pay 90 grand for all that. aka the price of a GT-R. We unlike some like to upgrade our performance cars. You can easily make a GT500 from 07-10 outhandle a Porsche or GT-R. You just need to buy and install the mods.

@mkuroglu not exactly a sophisticated dyno can make a guess of the losses based of how quickly the drivtrain losses speed once the throttle is let off, but yes most of the time it is only used to gauge rwhp
