I agree that the hybrid is the most probable answer to our nation's gasoline addiction. However, I think if more research was focused into purely electric cars and we were able to develop a longer battery life, this would be a better alternative. Obviously avoiding gasoline use would be ideal, therefore I feel we should put more time and resources into finding a way to extend the batter life of electric cars. As electric cars have already proven to work as well as standard vehicles, I think developing longer lasting battery could be revolutionary.
you can sue the City through the City Hall and file a complaint. Tell them what happened. Also, since the manhole was opened by an electric company, you can sue them too and claim from them. They city and the company should be impleaded as defendants in your case. It's important to note some things: 1. Were there signages that the manhole was opened or road signs to warn you? 2. How long has the manhole been open like that? 3. Make sure that you document the damage to your car and get an official police report on the accident.
You can sue for damages.
These should get things going. I suggest you file a case against the CIty AND the company.
