you find an attorney pay him or her 300 to 400 bucks an hour and drag that insurance company to court. at some point you may have 30 grand in attorney fees, and after a few years may be no closer to resolving this issue. Not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but extended warranty companies are being sued by attorney generals in multiple states for this same problem. I suggest that you move on, and fix the car on your own dime, or go find another vehicle, as this is a fight you will not win, only the attorney. best of luck I looked up nada guide 3300 was average trade in, 5100 was high retail.
You can't DO anything — extended warranty has no obligation to pay a repair bill that exceeds the value of the car. GAP is an insurance policy and cannot be used in this situation. You can probably locate a used engine for around $750 – 900.00 and have it installed for around $400. Yeah, it's expensive but it still beats buying another car.
