I know what your going through as I too had a nasty wreck and began to feel like I can take on the world as I was one of the lucky one's. I started showing a wilder side to my personality that not even my own father knew.I was still depressed about what had happened to me, yet I was still doing all these crazy things.I felt like my life before the crash was lame. I felt like the people around me needed to change.So I changed my life moved away, left everyone behind and started over. Luckily for me, with our first we actually planned it. I would say he was excited(he's never been excited about anything except cake LOL) but he knew it was coming and he was with me for the results…same with our 2nd, and 3rd, and 4th.This last time though(kid number 5) He was totally stunned, like deer in the headlights look. It didn't take him long though before he was telling me not to blame the baby for being an accident. He's still not overjoyed like some papa's to be(he's just not that emotional kind of guy) but he's actually been involved in the naming this time. Usually he putzes around and I make up something the week before or even the day I have the baby, but I guess he doesn't like my names because he said HE'S naming this one! LOL
My son was unplanned as well. When I told my bf he freaked out. he is really close to his family and thought they would disown him. Plus he thought his life would be over and that there would be no time for fun anymore.
He told me to get an abortion and then go for adoption. Which made me so sad. But as soon as he saw the ultro sound pictures and video he fell inlove. And when he felt my son kick for the first time he was so excited.
My bf told me he hated blood and youd not watch our son come out because he thought he would faint. But once delivery came along he was watching, he cut the ombilical cord, and even cried before I could!
I know all guys freak out at first but I can say now that all 3 of us are so happy we got this little suprise and my bf is such a great daddy. He hates talking about what would of happend if i ended up getting that abortion or doing the adoption because we both cant see our lives without our little man.
Congrats!! It makes me so excited to know someone else is having a baby. I get all excited when I see pregnant women. Its such an wonderful experiance.
I hope you have a vaginal birth cause its amazing. I said about a thousand times that I wanted a c section during my labor but afterward I was so happy that I had people there to talk me out of it.
