The Reasons For A Few Popular Car Malfunctions

We all know that feeling when we are driving along happily when we suddenly become aware of a sound that wasn’t there before. Unless we are amateur mechanics who love tinkering with engines, we all tend to react in the same way, we start to worry. Is it serious? How much will it cost to fix? The following 5 problems are very common and happen frequently.

Engine noise can be disturbing when it occurs suddenly, the good news is that most of the time it is just something minor. Things off roads frequently get jammed in the tire treads which can make a horrible noise that sounds as if it is coming from the engine. See if it lasts more than a couple of days and if it does take it to a garage.

Another very common, but very annoying noise, is the squeak that emit from your breaks. Most drivers suffer from this at some time, and there are a few reasons for it. It could be vibrations between the rotors and the pads, the callipers and the pads or even the mount and the callipers.

There are other causes of that annoying squeak; possibly the shoes and backing plate, or shoes and drums. Once again, if it’s there for a while get it checked out at a garage.

Modern have in built computers which, when they think they detect a problem, cause a light to come on in the cabin. If you have never notice it before and it suddenly illuminates, it can be quite a shock! It is nothing to worry about most of the time but take it straight to a garage if it is a red light.

Your cars alignment being out is the most common cause for our cars to pull to the side. A garage will do a simple realignment for you, but take care if it is pulling to only one side.

We all want a smooth and comfortable drive, but sometimes that becomes very rough and bumpy. If you know it isn’t the road, it is more than likely your struts and shock absorbers.

Time is the key here. If you put up with it for a while before taking it to a garage, you may well end up having to have brand new struts and/or shocks fitted.

  1. I know what your going through as I too had a nasty wreck and began to feel like I can take on the world as I was one of the lucky one's. I started showing a wilder side to my personality that not even my own father knew.I was still depressed about what had happened to me, yet I was still doing all these crazy things.I felt like my life before the crash was lame. I felt like the people around me needed to change. So I changed my life moved away, left everyone behind and started over. My father told me that it was time to find myself again and know what life is about. A clean slate helped me. Every now and then I look at the pictures of the wreckage to remind me of who I am and how I have gotten to where I am today.
The people who love you are the most important people in the world, never disappoint them.I hope you find that internal peace and calm down and enjoy the ride that life can give you.
    Peace

  2. Oh I too have failed in the home repair game. Hubby is not a home repair guy, and I would be more into it,but who has time. Well, the duct tape and plastic looked nice, why not just stick with that! :)

Sandy – I am my father's daughter. Duck tape and plastic are working fine so far. We just got a bigger piece of plastic and more duct tape. :) Unfortunately, this is the best shower in the house and we all use it, so when it actually “goes down” for repair and tile replacement, we will all be anxiously waiting for the final result.
