Travel in these vehicles can sometimes be safer than travel in a conventional vehicle. You are safer if there is snow or ice, so these vehicles are ideal for mountainous travel. They are also a great option for traveling on dirt or gravel roads. They can even drive on the sandy beaches where other vehicles might become stuck.
