Significant Information about Suzuki Motorcycles
Robust. Stylish. And brimming with excellent features. These are the three things that best describe Suzuki motorcycles, one of the most popular names in the motorcycle industry today. Some of its well-known models are the Titan, Diamond Free, GT750, X-6 Hustler, RG500, XN85, and GSX-R.
But are you aware that before Suzuki became popular in the motorcycle industry, it first became a part of the silk industry? Puzzling as it may seem, but yes in 1909, Suzuki was just a small warehouse that aimed to bring looms to Japanese silk industry. Only after 30 years when it started to diversify into cars and motorcycles. Then when the cotton market collapsed in 1951, the company decided to seriously get into the car and motorcycle industry.
The first motorcycle that the company produced was called Power Free. It was designed ingeniously, catching the eye not just by the people but also the Japanese government. The company was even given a subsidy just to go on with its research regarding motorcycle innovation. And that finally marked the production of great bikes from Suzuki, which won shortly in series of World Motocross Championships.
From these great bikes, the X-6 Hustler was the very first to conquer the street-legal performance scene. It was known for its great speed, thus it was regarded as Suzuki’s fastest 250cc bike in the 60s. This, together with other fast motorcycles from Suzuki, made the company well-known in the motocross scene.
When the late 80′s came, all the more Suzuki became known in the racing community. Its model, the GSX-R750, became the most popular Suzuki motorcycle in this era. Made from aluminum frame, the GSX-R750 was considered the lightest bike from Suzuki.
Suzuki motorcycles were without any doubt among the most important and influential motorcycles in the past. But even up to now, they continue to be one of the biggest names in the motorcycle industry.
