Just brought these in from Tracy of Japan. These extended are race grade, hardened steel. Made specifically for applications, these studs help reduce the time involved with removing and mounting lug nuts. The bullet-nosed design helps the user guide the lug nuts on. friendly, these are very good to have at the race track when you need to save time switching wheels. Sold in packs of 4 and 5.

  1. Next time this happens to you, undo the lug nuts on their rear wheel and place the nuts in a safe spot like on top of their trunk or hood. Be sure to be nice to them when they return, if they spontaneously apologize & successfully convince you of their need to double-park (like by offering to reimburse you on the spot for your trouble) you may alert them to the lug nut issue, otherwise let them go (you may want to follow at a safe distance for entertainment purposes) and at some point soon after they pull away – certainly after they clear your vehicle – they will learn what it's like to be momentarily inconvenienced.

    Have a nice day!

  2. Sorry, sounds like the battery has to come out. remove cables and hold down bolt and you can get to it easier. Sometimes you can just remove the hold down bolt and slide the battery enough to get the job done without disconnecting it.

  7. Rio Grande's live help and ask them for pointers on polishing hardened steel. All I do for silver, brass, copper and gold is put polished steel shot (mixed shapes – available at places like Rio Grande), I add enough water to cover the steel by about 1/2 an inch and about a teaspoon of Ivory bar soap (grated). Lots of people I've heard of use Dawn dish soap, but I haven't tried that one yet. I prefer Ivory bar soap (99.9% pure soap). Then the lid goes on the barrel and I let it tumble from an hour to 8 hours depending on how many pieces are in it.
    Good luck!
