The first step to replacing your old speakers is finding out what size they are. Replacement car speakers come in several difference sizes, so you need to know the exact size of your current speakers. Remove your already installed speakers and measure the holes they were located in. it is imperative to know the measurements because each care make and model uses different hole sides for their speakers. Some can be 6 inches by 9 inches, while others might be 5 1/2 inches by 6 inches — so knowing before you even look is a good idea.
After your exciting measuring adventure, you are ready to begin your search for the perfect speakers. The quality of speaker you are looking for should factor in to where you are going to shop. If you are not picky and just want to get your old speakers inexpensively replaced, any department store will probably be able to help you. In general, you will not be able to find a huge variety at department stores, so you may have to visit more than one store to find speakers that fit. You can easily install them on your own, and you can get them in qualities that are leagues above any factory-installed speakers. Getting them all into your car will not only be satisfying, but you will be able to listen to your music in brand new ways.
