  1. There are only two ball joints, and you really should go to the dealer to make sure that your replacements are good with the recall notification. Either Jeep (even out of warranty, since it's their recall) or the place you got them done at (if they are the old non-recall style) should refund your money.

There are several other recalls you might want a Jeep dealer to look at: http://www.lemonauto.com/complaints/daimler_chrysler/jeep_liberty.htm

  3. Doug, as a lifelong wrench myself I totally understand where you are coming from. I am almost 60 and no longer work on cars for a living but when I was I would guess that at least 1/2 of the cars I had in my shop and others I worked in would have failed that basic requirements you stated above. Bad ball joints, worn out tie rod ends, blown shocks, loose wheel bearings, you know how the list goes on and on and customers I informed of the issues just left them go saying later will it get me to work and back? I do the same as you when passing any vehicle that doesn't at least appear to be newer in age, have a quick glance at it as I am approaching from behind or the side. People basic safety is a must on these vehicles. 3000 lbs 65 mph have a mind of their own when something fails. take care of your vehicles and save lives the one you save could be your own……….a retired wrench

  4. I think that with StumbleUpon, like Digg, you either get lucky with something that grabs a little slice of zeitgeist, courts controversy, is a genuine scoop, etc., or you construct your own little network to push your content out there. So it's a combination of network and quality content – ideally a goodly amount of quality content.

But, the 300lb gorilla in traffic acquisition is search. In Australia Google has about 90% of search engine usage, a higher level than most countries, so getting your blog/site Google-happy is paramount. Treading that line between writing for both SEO and the reader. But if traffic is the goal, SEO has to be what leads your efforts. Getting the keywords you want to target early in the title and content summary (or what appears in the article's meta content tags) , and being sure to get the keywords in the body of the content.
