A Revelation: The BMW 5 Series
Just the other day in Munich, people finally got a look at the brand new BMW 5 Series. It was a special day for the executive sedan, being that this one marks the sixth generation. The design elements have thus evolved beautifully, making for something that manages to be both athletic and elegant.
The car’s aesthetic is quite one of a kind, with lots of cues that are signature to the BMW brand. The hood is long, the grille is characteristic, the body is built and shaped like a wedge, all of which makes for an extraordinarily sporty silhouette and an elegant, sleek, and refined profile. Speaking of the profile, BMW enthusiasts will likely notice the Hofmeister kink, although this time the interpretation is new and modern.
The interior is luxurious but still quite sporty. Many elements are similar to the 7 Series, which is larger, and the 5 Series GT, which was also unveiled recently.

that's exactly what we said here at work… w/ the BMW-esque Hofmeister kink in the rear side glass
Yo Gerald, this might explain some:
“The Hyundai Tucson ix carries a lot of the design elements from Hyundai's ix-onic concept crossover penned by Thomas Burkle, ex-BMW designer and now chief of the Korean brand's design center in Russelheim, Germany. Burkle said he developed the Tucson ix's sheet metal to resemble “something natural, something that wasn't made by engineers,” keeping the Tucson's shape in line with the Korean car maker's Fluidic Sculpture design language.”
